For inktober 2019, I mashed up MC Escher and Botticelli’s Birth of Venus. Lately I’ve been re-visiting old art and practicing more coloring, so here’s the result: Should I put it on a sticker or something?

Lost Sock Run 2021 and the Socktopus
Earlier this year some friends wanted to organize a virtual run to commemorate the holiday National Lost Sock Memorial Day. We just called it the Lost Sock Run 2021. My contribution to the event was developing some designs for the mascot: The Socktopus. The Socktopus has been living in my sketchbooks since 2012 and seemed…

Inktober 2020
This is now my fourth year of participating in the Inktober Challenge. This year I mashed two challenges together by adding the Birbtober list of prompts. This made for some very interesting evenings of trying to come up with new ideas. But I did it. It’s done and the results are silly as always. You…

Inktober 2019
For the third year in a row, I have completed Inktober. 31 days of drawing, inking, and posting it on social media. I followed all the official prompts and a bit more. Cheers! -Tomas

BikeCraft 2018 Recap
Another BikeCraft in the bag! Thank you everyone that stopped by my table for a chat, bought some coloring books or prints. It’s been really great to get feedback from so many people in and out of the bicycling community. It really makes me want to hit up other shows and keep producing more work….

Inktober 2018
I just completed 31 days of Jake Parker’s Inktober Challenge by drawing 30+ different internet-famous dogs. Mostly Boston Terriers and Frenchies. What is Inktober? In short, the rules are as follows: Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want). Post it (Instagram, Twitter, other social media) Hashtag it with…

Sketching Aku – Live Stream and Time Lapse
I’ve recently started re-watching all of Samurai Jack via Hulu which inspired me to do some quick sketching of the infamous Aku. While watching the show, I had live-streamed some of the sketching via Instagram, but then after an hour I switched to just time lapse recording on my phone. Here is the result of…
Time-lapse sketch
This was an experiment in mounting the GoPro camera to my hat while sketching an interesting house. There are elements of this time-lapse that I really like but it does come out quite jittery. Enjoy!
My first time-lapse
I recently bought a GoPro camera to use for my own projects, so one of the first things I did with it was make a time-lapse video of drawing in my sketchbook. This covers about 30-minutes of drawing in one go. Enjoy!
2014 Christmas Cards
I’m not much of a “Holiday Guy”. But Something about getting back into watercolor painting, all the cards I’ve received this year, and some recent images of Grumpy Cat inspired me to send something special to my family and friends. Inside each card, I took a couple of minutes to draw something different but relevant…
