We spend a few days camping in Eastern Oregon, the exact location cannot be disclosed. But we were lucky enough to have a birding friend in the area clue us in where some Great Gray Owls were fledging and being fed by the parents. It was simply one of the greatest moments of my life that I will treasure. The babies so were freakin’ cute like little muppets bobbing their heads in curiosity.
I hope we can get back out and see them again some day.
One of the parents would stand guard while the other hunted and returned with food over and over. I was able to get a few shots of the feeding and of one of the fledgelings trying to climb a tree!
