Personally, I would just get bored running around a half-mile loop for 5647 laps, but the idea of running 3100 miles greatly appeals to me.
I have nothing but utter awe for any participant that completes this race.
I still can’t believe it was won for a sixthm time in a row by Aalto.
See the official blog for more info: http://www.3100.ws/2009/07/27/day-44-aalto-wins-for-sixth-time/
I sometimes wonder why some of the UltraRunning greats like Dean Karnezas, Scott Jurek, Catra Corbett and many others don’t try nail this project?
It doesn’t seem to be anywhere in my future to cover this sort of distance day after day, but I can really feel inspired by ANYONE that finishes the race.
