I recently became a big fan of http://www.themiddlefingerproject.org/ and have made it part of my regular blog readings.
Ashley Ambirge’s blog really caught my eye with her post about Dream Zappers, which really reminded me of my past associations and how I distanced myself from Zappers, only to find I too have been guilty of Zapping my own dreams. I find her writing witty, poingent, and sharp. She sounds like she has something to say, even if that makes the reader uncomfortable. But then, isn’t expanding one’s knowledge and experiences a matter of stretching one’s comfort zone?
I’m not only giving myself the middle finger, but also to conventional wisdom for teaching me cliches, bad advise, and trying to convince me that being like everybody else is the highest one can achieve.
